Pistons Intrigued By NBDL Prospect

The Pistons are reportedly eyeing NBDL rookie Amara Sy, a 6'8" small forward from France.

A professional since 1999 in France and Greece, Sy was in training camp with the Dallas Mavericks before being cut during preseason. It's likely Joe Dumars, Pistons President, could be looking to add another player in order to bring more energy to an ailing lineup. Pistons veterans Rip Hamilton, Tayshaun Prince, Ben Gordon and Charlie Villanueva are all back to action following various injuries but are still trying to get back into game shape. Reserve guard Will Bynum remains as Detroit's only injured player at the moment.

Fans are also speculating that Sy could be signed if/when Dumars announces a trade, but that remains unlikely unless the Pistons somehow manage to acquire additional draft picks, expiring contracts or a legitimate starting center.
